ဗုဒၶဘာသာတြင္ ဤေလာကရိွအရာ၀တၳဳ မွန္သမွ်ကို အေျခခံအားျဖင့္

ပထဝီ (Pathavī = the element of extension, hardness, roughness, heaviness, softness, smoothness and lightness)
အာေပါ (Āpo = the elements of cohesion, cohesiveness, fluidity)
ေတေဇာ (Tejo = the elements of heat, hot and cold)
၀ါေယာ (Vāyo = the elements of motion, pushing and supporting)
ဟူေသာ ဓာတ္ႀကီး ၄ ပါးျဖင့္ ဖြဲ႔စည္းထားသည္ဟု ဆိုခဲ့သည္။

ဗုဒၶ၏ ေဟာၾကား သင္ျပခဲ့မႈမ်ား၊ ဗုဒၶ သက္ရိွထင္ရွားရိွစဥ္ ျဖစ္ပ်က္ခဲ့သည္မ်ား၊ ဗုဒၶဘာသာအတြက္ အက်ိဳးရိွမည့္ သမိုင္းမွတ္တမ္းမ်ား စုစည္းထားသည့္ က်မ္းဂန္မ်ားကို ပိဋိကတ္ (၃) ပံု ဟု ေခၚဆိုၾကသည္။ ပိဋိကတ္ေတာ္လာ အားလံုးသည္ ဘုရားေဟာခ်ည္း မဟုတ္ၾကပါ။ ေႏွာင္းလူတို႔၏ မွတ္တမ္းမွတ္ရာ မ်ားလည္း ပါ၀င္ၾကသည္။
